Bon Vivants, Trick Dog, San Francisco - November 2013

This recipe appears in conjunction with Trick's Treats, November 2013.

  • 2 oz. Calle 23 Reposado
  • 1/2 oz. Gran Classico Bitter
  • 2 oz. coconut milk
  • 1 oz. lime juice
  • 1/4 oz. bay leaf vodka (see below)

Add all ingredients to cocktail shaker; add ice; shake; double strain into a tiki mug filled with crushed ice; serve with an amusing straw and a garnish of your choice, such as a plastic monkey, umbrella, toasted coconut flakes, etc.

Bay leaf vodka:

  • 20 fresh rinsed bay leaves
  • 1 cup 100 proof vodka

Add bay leaves and vodka to a jar; seal and store two weeks, agitating daily; strain; reserve in bottle.
