Eye of the Tiger

Bon Vivants, Trick Dog, San Francisco - November 2013

This recipe appears in conjunction with Trick's Treats, November 2013.

  • 1 1/2 oz. Pierde Almas Mezcal La Puritita Verdá
  • 1/2 oz. honey mustard syrup (see below)
  • 2 oz. organic unfiltered apple juice
  • 3/4 oz. lime juice

Add all ingredients to cocktail shaker; add ice; shake; double strain into a rocks glass; pour over fresh ice.

Honey mustard syrup:

  • 250g honey
  • 125g water
  • 15g mustard powder
  • 5g salt
  • 12 1/2g Banyuls vinegar
  • 2 1/2g tarragon leaves

Add all ingredients to a blender; blend 2 minutes; strain through a fine strainer; refrigerate.
