Built For Two
Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants has partnered with San Francisco’s PUBLIC Bikes to supply complementary bicycles for hotel guests. A launch party was held at PUBLIC’s South Park, where guests noshed on picnic-inspired bites by local Kimpton chefs from Grand Café, Jasper’s Corner Tap & Kitchen, and Scala’s Bistro. Custom-made picnic basket fare will also be available for purchase at Kimpton properties. Pictured: PUBLIC Bikes founder Rob Forbes and Kimpton COO Mike DeFrino.

Keep On Truckin’
Friends, family, and staff of Area Four restaurant in Boston celebrated its two year anniversary with a barbecue, replete with piadini—like kafta with Lebanese beef and pork sausage—music, lawn games, local craft beer, a hot dog cart, and a spread from their recently launched A4 food truck. Miami Spice
Chair of Share Our Strength’s Taste of the Nation Miami, chef Allen Susser pulled together a large culinary line-up from the Miami chapter, as well as Taste of the Nation Fort Lauderdale, for the inaugural Taste of the Nation South Florida, held at the Loews Miami Beach hotel. More than 50 restaurants in the area showcased their dishes, and helped raise over $160,000 to end childhood hunger.
