Kudos for Food Arts: Carolyn Jung and Chad Robertson

Congratulations to Food Arts’ contributors Carolyn Jung (Best Story on Food Policy or Food Issues) and Chad Robertson (Best Non-Newspaper Food Feature), who are finalists for this year’s Association of Food Journalists Awards!

Jung’s story, Foie and Its Discontents (May 2012), details California chefs’ efforts to support foie gras and amend or repeal the state’s foie gras ban.

Robertson, one of America’s premier bread masters, went to Denmark for hands-on, mind-expanding work with whole grains. In The Baker in the Rye (April 2012), he writes about that experience and the new breads at his bakery/sandwich shop next to Bar Tartine in San Francisco.
