The Nirvana Burger

Go Burger Bar & Grill, New York City, Emilie Bousquet Walsh - January 28th, 2014

"If you happen to be in Denver or Seattle, you might have a taste of these foods. But if you're not, I wanted people to get a taste of those cities from our burgers. For the Nirvana I integrated garlic fries, which are a Seattle staple. Seattle is also known for its obsession with artisanal products, much like Beecher's cheese, which sells in their Pike Place Market."

Burger:

  • 6 oz. ground beef
  • salt
  • black pepper, freshly ground
  1. Heat a grill.

  2. Season beef with salt and pepper; grill to desired temperature.

Garlic mix:

  • 1/2 cup blended oil
  • 2 Tbsps. unsalted butter
  • 6 Tbsps. garlic, minced
  • 2 Tbsps. parsley, chopped

Heat oil in sauté pan on low heat; add butter; add garlic, cook 1 minute; add parsley; remove from heat; reserve.

Assembly:

  • bun
  • Beecher's Flagship cheese
  • Biff's Blue Ribbon barbecue sauce
  • Cavendish Farms French fries, fried and tossed in garlic mix
  • lettuce
  • tomato
  • onion

Place burger on bun; top with cheese, barbecue sauce, garlic fries, lettuce, tomato, and onion; serve.
