The El Machete Dog

Machete sauce:

  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 2 Tbsps. pickled jalapeño, finely chopped
  • 1 Tbsp. roasted green chiles, chopped
  • 1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper
  • 1 tsp. cilantro, chopped
  • 1 lemon, juiced
  • salt
  • black pepper, freshly ground

Add mayonnaise, sour cream, jalapeño, green chile, cayenne, cilantro, and lemon juice to large mixing bowl; whisk until smooth; season; reserve.


  • hot dog bun
  • char-grilled frank
  • roasted green chiles
  • borracho onions
  • pepperjack cheese
  • tomato slices

Smear hot dog bun with reserved machete sauce; top with beef frank, green chiles, onions, pepperjack, and tomato slices; serve.
